TPS voltage

Question TPS voltage

after installing my afc notticed it would say 100% throttle at about half throttle checked the voltage on the tps and at about half throttle all the way to full throttle the voltage is the same is it a bad tps or is this normal

Its because the TPS on the S4 cars' tps only reads about the first 20% then goes tp 100%. You need to wire it to the boost singal... Your TPS is fine...

Well I have the SAFC II, so I am not sure which you have and it the set up is the same or not. And I have a 87 TII so someone else might need to clarify this before you do it.

But in the install booklet Z1-a the boost signal on the immediate left of the rpm wire (or down one block and to the right one blcok from the ground wire).

Pin 2B. Its a Brown wire with a Red stripe. Or BrR wire. It's in the middle plug. With the plug attached to the ECU, and looking at the wire side of the plug, it's on the bottom row to the far right. Brown and with a Red stripe on it. BrR.

but dosent the FCD trick the PCM that signal wont be right

Hmm. It seems to me you'd have to intercept the signal out of the boost sensor but prior to that wire getting to the FCD. Sorry, I don't have a safc. Never done that. Never been there. Maybe someone with a safc can pipe in.
