TPS and Test Light

After adjusting the TPS to correct voltage, what performance/operating issues come into play if both test lights are on or off. I guess my question would be, what is the need to do a final adjustment so only 1 light is on?

One light represents the Relief Solenoid being energized and the other the Switching solenoid being energized.

At idle, the Relief should be the only one energized.

Both on at idle would mean...to me...that the switching solenoid is ON and porting air to the catalytic converter and taking away some of the airpump air that is supposed to be directed TO the exaust ports.

Being out of adjustment might/will effect the cutting off of the fuel injectors during deceleration at the right time(?????)

IF memory serves....if both lights are on, then you just turn the tps screw anti clockwise a tad until only one light is on. Memory thing.

Thanks. Having some performance issues and Dave @ KD said the TPS was all over the place, and BAC was bad. Sometimes 2 lights on, off etc.,. Got it back from KD and narrow was set @ 1.45, but car ran fine, just a slightly higher idle. I reset to . 97 and checked the test connector with meter and curent at both. Car then experienced a one time detonation @ 3/4 throttle in third. Going to install a new TPS this weekend, and will set to voltage value, then readjust until only current @ 1 pin on connector, if this is correct.
