tps plunger spring???

I have been having problems with my tps and I just realized my plunger has no "spring" to it. It just kind of floats around with gravity. I'm guessing that is bad. Can I fix this or do I need a new tps? Can you just take apart the tps plunger deal and put a new spring in it??
Thanks for all helps!

Its toast. I don't *believe* you can take it apart. Almost positive about that. You might gently rap it up the side of the head to free the spring inside. Get another at the junque yard.

The spring is internal and hidden/protected.&nbsp You can't see it just from staring at it.&nbsp If your TPS pushed in but doesn't come back out on it's own, then you need to replace it.
