uh....... does anyone know that can tell me how to adjust the TPS from there own experience?
i know the S n S.
symptoms : when i start the motor it starts at 2000rpm. then it drops down. then it will continue to rev over n over again. it sounds like its having hard time breathing. sometimes my car dies after i started it up. then i start it up again and its fine...
solution : checkk TPS. check vaccum leaks. i read that adjusting the TPS will fix my bad idling and hesitation or is there anything else should i know?

Much like the Crazy guy in the post above. The FSM for series five tell how to do it.
Personally, if it were my car, I'd get a simple digital meter out and go to the ECU and compare the input from the TPS to the ECU with the values given in the FSM.
On my S4 non turbo 86 model I had a similar TPS issue yesterday. I'd worked on the engine and had the upper intake off. When I put everything back together evidently I didn't shove the TPS connector back together enough. It started and idled ok, but when I backed out of the driveway to go for a drive, when I stepped on the pedal the engine slightly rev'd dropped in rev's acted funny. I looked at the SAFC and the throttle voltage was 0.051, a LONG, LONG way from 1 vdc that it should read. Shoved the connector back together and enjoyed the drive. Evidently I don't believe in paragraphs and punctuation.
