TPS, Bad??

OKay I tested my TPS with a DMM and found at idle it was at 700 ohms so I bump it up to 1k ohms, then I tested from Idle to wot very slowly, It went from like 1.4k to 5.28k, no in between reading except the infinte loop reading, I did this many times so it wasn't the connections. Well after adjusting the TPS I started the car and it wouldn't idle right away I kept having it to give it gas, I didn't notice any differnce after I adjusted it.

I have also been having startup idle problems but when the car warms up everything is fine, I don't think the TB mod was done to this car.

I believe it should go smoothly from 1k ohm to 4k-6k ohm, without any infinite resistance readings. Ted's site has a great write up:

Yep, it should progress smoothly from 1 to 5K Ohms.
