T2 dependability
Ok im considering a 87 T2 for 4000 with 103k miles on it. about when do the t2s die? i havent talked to the owner but the description leads me to infer that the car has been treated well.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
It entirely depends on the previous and current care as well as the modifications done (if any) to the car.
150K miles on the motor is fairly reasonable for an average taken care of T2.

the only mod listed is a turbo timer, do you thnk it would be a good deal , that is , if the car lasted 50k more miles?
EDIT: do you think it would be a good daily driver for a highschool student?

Knowing nothing about rotaries is a bad thing. If you do decide to get the car, scour the Internet and this web forum on how to take car of the car. The #1 (or close to it) reason that many RX7s are labeled "unreliable" is beacuse [/i]people don't know how to take care of them[/i].

well, what i mean by knowing none is i have no hands on at all, but ive read teh "howstuffworks.com" articles and plenty of threads on here to know a few things, like letting it warm up and cool down and the flooding problems.
