Tps?

what is the tps and where is it located? my car will sputer and jerk i can only put 12 gallons of gas in when it starts to do this have i have a 16 gallon tank but i never get to use it all could this tps? be the problem?

tps is your throttle position sensor. its located on the throttle body (where the black plastic air intake tube hooks up with 2 nuts.) its on the front side of the throttle body. tps would have nothing to do with the amount of gas you have. that would be your fuel pump or fuel filter more likely. have your fuel filter replaced as it is cheap and see if that helps. if not have someone test the voltage on your fuel pump and possibly ad another ground the existing ground on the fuel pump. rx7 grounds are known for being crappy.
