Tow truck towed 1991 FC from subframe(?) hook
Hey guys so my friend had his 1991 Fc towed.
The steering wheel was locked and it was parked so he drove the car forward and the tow truck guy used his hook and hooked it under the front of the car into a hole which I assume was located on the subframe.
He proceeded to pull the car from the side with the eBrake ON so that the car would turn and so he could pull it up the flatbed.
Would anything have been damaged? Seems like the hook was there so you could pull the car with it... But it should have been pulled forward, not sideways to change the direction of the car.

The hooks are meant to be loaded in a front-back direction, and not a side-side direction. The brackets can be bent or the bolts can be sheared off with enough lateral force. Fortunately these are lightweight cars so it's unlikely any damage was done. You'd know it if the tow hook bolts broke off, so since that didn't happen, as long as the hook isn't significantly bent, it is fine.
