tough choices..
Hello I acctually just found this forum and since there seems to be a massive ammount of people that are here. I thought I could get your opinion on something. As hard as it is to do I am thinking about selling my RX-7.. it is an '87 n/a with not too much done to it. But due to the fact that I am a student and the money involved in modding this car (not to mension the poissibility that something may go wrong with the engine ... b/c the miles are getting up there on it..) is too great a risk for me.
I was wondering what other vehicle you think I should get? Assuming I can sell my rx7 for the same ammount I bought it for I should have about 20k (that is in canadian) saved up. I was thinking about buying a 5'th gen prelude, or perhaps a '95 or '96 Integra. But I really need some guidence as I am so used to the shear power of the rx7....
I am really sorry to have to sell the rx7.. but life must go on, and I thought that perhaps you could help me pick my next car with the experience many of you probably have. Thanks!
John

The Seven can not be replaced as far as the "experience" that it provides. I have been riding in my friends' cars lately and god damn they suck even the modded ones. I would personaly just maintain the car stock for now and when you graduate you can pay for it since you will be able to get a good job. Just hold on man. The seven is all about sacrifice, as is any other modified car, and if you are not prepared for that then consider the fact that you might not be the type of person to do this kinda stuff.

I love my N/A and all, but I can see where you're coming from.
I just spent $1500 to replace my exhaust system, on an 86 w/170K miles on it Engine only has 40K, but the car is not in pristine condition. I seriously thought about selling my car (and I probably should have) and getting a early 90s 300Z or something.
There's just something cool about the rx-7 that keeps me dumb enough to spend more money on the car than it's worth
Unless you know something is about to go, and you just don't trust your car to get you from pointA to pointB anymore, I'd keep it. Save more money and put a downpayment on an RX-8 when you graduate
