I send all my SoCal7 friends to Romans Upholstery in La Puente and have been doing it for 10 years. Always great feedback. On Valley about 3-4 miles east of the 605. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?rl...33546070080301

Excellent workmanship and compared to all other auto upholstery places I've heard about their labor prices, Romans are the best. I own three Verts, so am sensitive to this situation very well. But, it won't be cheap.

There are a couple of top suppliers out there. But trust me, only get a Robbins top. The ones they sell on EBay (made by Acme) for $200-400 sound good, but they fit and look like crap. More over, they miss important padding that keep it from premature tearing against the frame.

In 10 years of surfing pic a parts, only once did I ever see a good vert top. So new is pretty much you answer.

You can find Robbin's tops online for about $550 if you dig around. I know because that's how much I just spent.

And the Robbins material is niiiiiiiice...

Exactly. But installing isn't exactly easy and should be done by a professional to protect from messing up that $550 investment. I had Roman's do mine despite the fact I have installing and repairing RX7 seat cover skills otherwise.

This is really a conversation you should also be having in the West section I might add.
