include all mods done to the car

I had my 87 sport up to 145. started to feel a little rough due to the road being bouncy and all..

I started to lose my ***** so I backed off

145? Never heard of an NA going that fast, pretty good. I got up to 135 and had to let off. 88 GXL.

 

I've hit 140, as indicated by the speedometer.

 

I've hit 240km/h on my trip from Kingston to Toronto.

I've only wound out 3rd.. But that was still going 100 on a curvy *** road

I shifted to 4th and she was still pulliing stron... I would venture to bet that I could top 140 if i had the road and *****.

 

Yep, I hit 140 by the speedo in my 87 sport as well. But it only crawled up from 130. The front end gets very light at that speed.

 

over 150 MPH my tech hit 150 and I still kept accelerating
so I say 160 MPH

High speed in a car is kinda boring. Try 150+ on a motorcycle, much more fun.

 

I had my 89 up to 140, with almost no mods. I havent tried in my 90 since all of the mods. I have shitty tires, and the only good place to do it brings back very bad memories for me. But I would say I could hit 155-160 now.

 

no mods and a very bad clutch. this was actually what made me decide to replace the clutch. oh yeah 121

 

With the mods in my sig, and a shitty clutch, I hit 145mph. I think my speedo might be a little off though, probably closer to 140.

 

i've hit 145 during the day with current mods, a passenger, luggage in the back, and going up a little hill. could've gone faster cause she was still pulling strong, but the girl in the car was like "ok thats enough" damn girls. so i say i could've hit like 155+

 

150 racing a WRX on the highway...still had more to go but we came up on traffic

 

i hit 125 on the highway once after i laughed at a rice boy in his honduh civic. i could have gone faster but i backed off after i saw he couldn't keep up . Also, it was about 4:30 in the afternoon so i was a little scared of some little old lady pulling out infront of me. All in all not bad for a stock N/A Rex with 168,000 miles on it.

I regularly hit 215 km(133 mph or something) easy, that's a bit past redline in 4th, I have yet to find an area around here where I can shift into 5th and see whats shes got.....5th accelerates slooooww.....

 

133 mph is past redline in fourth on a '90 GXL? If I'm not mistaken the gears are the same in that and the cars I have listed below...

Both my '90 GTU and my '89 convertible hit 140 (speedometer) at about 8200 RPM's in fourth gear.

Were you speaking of speedometer indicated speed or actual speed?

 

im with this on my top speed, had to back off cuz car felt shaky

 

i hit 135 and let off somebody cut me off cooked brakes.... i hit 120 in my fd without trying ... scary fast

 

Get this -- I hit 130 in an 86 NA with THREE people in the car -- (the smallest one in the hatch) anyway raced and SMOKED a honda civic si -- oh yeah this was coming on an ON ramp to GA 400... That was cool...

Those damn rex's need a major final drive change...

well ive only done 112 mph in my stock 91 na but i have hit 151 mph on my Honda CBR600(croch rocket) well noted bye the Sheriff IN Everett Washington that said catching up to me was one of the funnest things he's ever done

he asked my how long i was doing that speed and i said for like 20 seconds then a phuckin parade of cars for like 5 minutes came bye while he had me pulled over screaming at me and laughing at me and giving me the fingre and he said 20 seconds huh well it seem like you got a fan club and as some fat bitch goes bybe in a mini van hanging out the window laughing and pointing i just looked at the guy and said damn ex-girlfriends

he laughed and handed me a ticket

i hit 300 km/h today on a toll road friend with a FD has the aftermarket speedo and we were side by side, of course he had to catch up first! lol!

 

150 MPH Racing an MR2 turbo and an Audi on a 3 lane freeway. They didn't keep up very much. Not a wise thing to do though.
