I think fuel cuts at 155, I''m pretty sure thats it. I got mine to 125. My wheel is a little bent and vibrates slightly at 70 so at 125 it was going crazy.....BTW I was "racing" a Turbo Talon.......

My rx7 had a fresh motor at the time; I don’t remember what rpm I was at as I did it back 1998 after I had completed high school "young and stupid"
As far as handling I don’t ever remember the nose end lightening up like some of the cars I have driven past 100mph, I was extremely cautious in every turn, the road was very smooth and had gradual turns.
I only ran it at 150? For around 10 miles then backed off as my water temp began to rise and slowly eased it back down to 100 heater full bore to help cool it down faster.
My favorite memory of the speed run was the way a cattle guard sounds at that speed.

IIRC fuel cut is at 8500. We have no governors at all. If you work out the gearing in theory our cars can go up to around 170ish with the gears at redline in 5th. Having the HP to get there is another story though. I have personally been to 135 and don't plan on returning any time soon.

I did 130+ on stock wheels and tires. I've since changed them(tires that is) and not returned to above 120 on the speedo. I was still pulling from there too, but pretty slowly. Not something to do around traffic, or on bad roads. Be carefull out there guys

i buried the tach and the speed-0 the car was smooth as silk. And this was on the interstate by the way, Actually on the way to work, and when i ran out of room, the goddamn car was still pulling strong, I really need a bigger 10-12k rpm tach, and someone with a radar gun (no 5-0) to test how fast im actually getting up to.

Haven't we ALL heard this
Our speedos accurate. Yeah, they are acurrate under 45mph. After that it is wrong. Tested that on my 86 and 91 with my gps
I would say for the high speed runs you should use a gps to validate it. And for ***** and giggles read the speed rating on your tires so you dont die.
