Took The 7 around the block
Well I drove the car for the first time, just around my block, not really a block cuz my neightbor hood is weird, but thats not the point. I forgot to plug in my speedo so I don't know how fast I was going, but I shifted out of 3rd about 3,500RPM.
The car is idleing at 1,500-2000 RPM. I am having to slip the clutch a lot since I haven't finished bleeding it. And there still seems to be a little bit of vibration, nothing really bad, but I am only revving to 4K so it mught be worse up top, only time will tell. Even though it has been a long time I can definatly say the car feels quicker than I remember no that I have an exhaust and light flywheel (got the back end to step out a little bit in the rain ) There is a little hit of smoke and the car smells bad, but this might be normal since its a fresh rebuild and I am not running a cat, just pre-silencer.
My volt gauge is pegged all the time, even after I swapped alternators. I think that I broke it when attempting to fix the other gauges, the temp doesn't work, once again I think I broke it while attempting to fix the oil gauge. Right now I have a mechanical Oil pressure gague, and I need a different one cuz I am alomst pegging the needle (only goes to 80psi). I am seeing about 50-60psi with it idling at 2,000 RPM.
I am happy as a pig in **** right now

I shifted from 3rd to 4th at about 3,500RPM. I only went stupid fast on this road when I test road my FZR with no speedo.

Well I went around again, and this time I noticed there was a little smoke coming from under the hood. So I stopped and put the hood up, and it was coming from the exhaust manifold, I am guessing it's the silver 1500 degree paint that I put on the heat sheilds. I'll have to wait and see.

it resists 1500 degrees ONLY if you bake it at 300degrees for 30-60 minuets.
I'm using the same paint on my catback right now. I thought about letting a power coating shop bake it, but I'd have to paint it on sight (20min coat & 4 coats) and 60 min in the oven. It might just be cheaper to have them cermaic coat the entire thing
