Too many wires

The next few pics will show wires that I have no clue where they go. They are all on the driver's side of the car on the harnees that goes to the starter. There will also be 2 tranny pictures for comparison. One has 4 wires and the other 3. My wiring harness has 2 round and 1 female and 1 male underneath and my tranny has the 2 round and 1 male.

It is a S4 NA wiring harness that I am using for my TII swap.

I need help indentifying all of the wires that are circled in yellow.

I have the starter, engine ground, oil level sensor, oil pressure, and 2 of the little black squares all connected.

Pic #1 Near brake booster
Pic #2 Splits off from oil level sensor
Pic #3 1 male plug and 1 female plug underneath the car
Pic #4 1 male plug from tranny
Pic #5 Other TII tranny for comparison

These wires are the leftovers.

Thanx as always

Michael

#1 looks like a ground.
#2 knock sensor connector?
#3 connects to your tranny wiring harness.
#4 either the 5th gear, neutral switch, or the back up light switch?
#5 same as #4..

the FSM will tell you for sure.

lemme double check what section that's in..

edit- F2 84, y0!

If its a series four n/a harness, then it ain't for no knock sensor. That number two is probably for the Air Bypass Solenoid which is in that area on a non turbo car.

#1 looks like those tranny plugs and I've never seen three of them... so no help there I guess.

As for that "knock sensor" you might see if that goes to the "cold start assist" oil temperature sensor... the plug that comes off the oilpan I have now looks like it'd fit right in there... but I don't have that plug on my harness.
