Too many Orings! Help!

Hello. I am currently rebuilding the engine out of my S5 N/A. I am about to put the front cover on, and when I went to find the O ring that does into the front housing, I had trouble telling what ring is for what....

I know someone posted a question similar to this, and I looked at that, but I couldn't really get a handle on things from that... I have attached a pic of my own, and if anyone could help me ID some things, thatd be really helpful!

I do know that #8 is the thermostat gasket, and my 4 dowel pin O rings are in the motor.

thanks,
Andrew

Oh yeah I also noticed that my E shaft bolt has 4 chisel marks in it just above the copper ring that goes on there (#14 I THINK, but why are there two of them in the gasket kit??), as if to hold it in place... I surely didnt put those there... should they be there?
