Tires sizes Again :(

I've ordered Volkracing rims Gram lights pro from Japan. The company "Volk" recommended 35mm offsets for 17*8 @ 17*9.

I have a lowered 1" tokico adjustables on apex springs. They said it would work. I'm just confused on what tire sizes to get.

Thanks,
Ian

I have volk racing GT-P's in 17x8/9.5. The vendor I used, and Rishie reccomended +40 all around. I am running 235 40's and 255 40's no problems.

since I might not have enought time to change my order what would be the downfall in running 35mm offset?

Oh and dam thats pretty big tires. I wonder if could change to 9.5

I also didn't think that big of a tire would fit in front. Are you running coil overs?

Thanks
Ian

Yeah.. I'm pretty darn sure 17x8 with a 40 offest up front would not work unless you have coilovers.

I am in the market for wheels as well. I want to got 16x8 in front and back. I heard that 30 or 35 offset will work, but I dont want to rub in front. I have Eibach springs which my stock rims/tires are pretty dang close to already.

I think that even if I stayed 16x7 I would go 35mm as it will push the wheels outbound a bit.

Anyone reading this run 16x8 without coilovers? I want to know if I need to go 35 or 30 mm offset.

Ian,

my TSW's are 17x8 with 40mm offset. I've got lots of room in the back, but not up front (215/40)...

Thanks guys. I think I might stick with the 35mm offset because thats what Volk racing suggested, Know if I could change the order to 9.5" rather then 9"
