Hello all second generation RX7 owners. My grandmother owns a 1989 Mazda RX7 convertible and needs some good tires for driving around town; nothing fancy, and they need to be good in wet conditions (she lives in Seattle). What types should she look into that would be very cost effective, but still give her some advantages in performance? Thanks!
Whoa, you've got one kick *** grandma!
I like my Pirelli P6000's, but they may be a bit more than she needs.
Go to www.tirerack.com and poke around a bit, they've got quite a bit to choose from and decent prices. That's where I got my Pirelli's from.

Get Dunlop D60/A2. They are great in the rain, I can not get the car to break sideway witht hem even after 15K miles. They last longer than the SP5000 that I replaced. I am looking for 30K-40K tread life for me. I drive it hard too
These D60/A2 is not that great in the dry, but blast in the wet. I will test how good they are in the snow in Dec. I am sure grandma dont do heel to toe, trail braking onto and off the highway ramp. For 55 each, these are the best
Pirelli is real bad from what I heard, especially in the rain
Falken, well is Sears tires.....

In the dry the Pirelli's are far from "real bad". It's probably one of the best dry tires you can get in a 205/60 15, that and the Yoko AVS Intermediates.
