Auto TII diff
I am currently converting my TII to manual. Will I have a net gain in acceleration due to the gearing or a net loss?
Is the diff a higher ratio than a manual or is it the same?
Anyone have any idea??
I assume the auto TII diff in Japan is the same as the Auto NA in US
TIA

I think we're at a loss on this question as TII's never were exported to the US with automatic tranny's.
However, to take a shot, Automatic tranny's here in the US typically had a lower 3.9:1 gear ratio in the rear differential. Also, the first gear is lower in the Manual TII tranny. So, if you swap both the Tranny and Rear differential, you should have a noticable difference in off the line accelleration.
Anybody else wanna take a shot at this one?

Well his location says he's from Australia
...soo..yes, auto's have a 3.90 rear-gear, and the manuals have 4.10..the 4.10 rear-end will yield better acceleration. Definently get it if you can.
