tired of the rotary
ok here we go about 2 weeks ago my car stared to click everytime i went to start it in the morning/ anyways it would click like 10 ten times then it would start/ so i thought to myself i think the starter is about to go/ well a few days later i had no problems starting up/ then about a week ago it didnt start but it would sound like it was going to start but it never turned/ so i jacked the car up took the starter off and got it checked and it was fine/ so i put it on and when i started the car i notoiced that my car was losing power/ so i bought a new battery and i got the alternator checked/ come to find out there perfect no low volts on any one of the too/ so i call this rotary tech guy and he tells me to check the injectors he says maybe your not getting enough fuel/ so i was like ok/ then he says if that dosent work pull the throttle body off and check that/ well i have no time to do that/ i work constantly and i usually get off during the night so i have no way to do this/ if anyone has a better explanation for whats going on with my 7 that would be really helpful/ cause if i cant get it fixed in the next 2 weeks i have to get rid of it and jump into something more reliable/ i love my 7 to death but its pissing me off and i realy dont want to deal with it/so please someone help me out here/

my 89 N/A also did this, I believe it is a lack of a good ground, also check the battery cable to the starter, it may be grounding out somwhere....

My 87 N/A acted similar I thought it was the starter first so I took it to autozone to have it tested they said it was fine but I was still having trouble so I took it to Mazda it turns out it was the starter it just happened to work when I took it to the zone I replaced the starter now it is fine.

I have to hit my key about 5 times to get the starter to click. I think its the starter. You talked to the wrong guy, injectors??? if the motor isn't even turning over, that couldn't be it. Just try a new starter, its 2 bolts, if thats not it, take it back...

It's a long shot, but on mine it was the after-market alarm system that was installed previously in my car. It was wired in between the ignition switch and the clutch pedal safety switch. It caused similar problems, til I yanked the alarm out of there.
