tire weight?

So guys, I would like to hear what you know about tire and wheel weight. I have 225/50/15 and am looking to get new tires. Should I go with 215s or 205s because of weight or does none of this really matter. I guess what i am really asking is: Is the extra tire width worth the extra weight?

I think this is like a diminishing returns thing. There is probably a sweet spot where the tire is wide enough for good traction and you aren't loosing much to the weight. But if you go too far you will not get a worthwhile increas in performance.

perhaps a nice set of 215s would do the job. Anyone else have any advice or past experience?

91 NA with exhaust, thats all. I am mostly wondering about handling, not putting the power down.

how wide are your rims? stock 15's ? is what like 6 or 6.5? I probably woudln't go over 205. anymore will just make it buldge and handle worse.
