Tire Chains

How good are they? Right now my car handles like melting butter on a hot skillet in the snow.

I need to do something soon for my car

park it

chains won't help handling. they will only get you going forward. and I guess help stop too. but they won't stop you from going sideways.

what kind of tires are you using? all seasons or snow tires? if you don't have snow tires i would recommend getting a set. i suppose chains are a cheap alternative to a set of good winter radials. but even with a decent set of winters you shouldn't need chains. unless of course there's two feet of snow on the road. at that point, it's better to stay inside. there's no real reason to even try to drive an rx7 in those conditions.

If you have to drive in the snow than maybe try throwing some weights in the back

Well, there is a cheap 89 Probe GT Turbo near me. I'm gonna try and get it. Probes handle outstanding in the snow. And since it's a 1st Gen Probe it has BOOST!!! So when the snow clears up I'll have both the RX-7 and the Probe turbo.

Once the roads clear up a little I'm gonna go take a closer look at it.
