Question timing question

1. if my timing was off, could this limit me of only reving to 5500 with my tps???

or

2. is it that my tps could be set either

a)wrong
or
b)its bad

1) Bad timing can do alot.
2) a) yeah. b) yeah.

Get a timing light, and set the timing
Get a multimeter and set the tps
Get a multimeter and test the tps.

There, both bases covered.
