EDIT: "What is a SEARCH BUTTON?"

IF you're talking about the other wire that's in the same "branch" as the oil level sender in the oilpan, that's the for sub zero starting system's temperature sensor...the 86-~89.5 cars had a second sensor in the oilpan, in front of the oil level. Regardless, the system is supposed to be removed from the car via mazda's TSB's, so it's a moot point. Plug it in, leave it unhooked, doesnt matter, doesnt do anything anyway. Some oilpans from the later models dont have the hole or sensor there, which is okay. I think all the cars have the wire for it, though.

i figured it was the sub zero oil temp connector but i thought they removed the whole system post '88. figures they would be too lazy to modify the wiring harnesses if they did anyways..

I plan to use them for forum sponsorship funding. I will have a banner made up with a massive "SEARCH" button right in the center of the screen on every page. I'm going to buy up the spaces from tire rack and atkins rotary, and have only that one up there instead.

I didn't even know where to start searching for that one. I'll be honest those abscure questions are hard to search for. You get 1000 threads talking about the connectors in the fuel pump or the rear lights etc.

Hands greasy been under/over/on top of the car. Short in patience easier to ask than search....you get the picture.

Now go to bed it's 2:00 am your time. I'm just worried about your health. we would be lost without your advice.
