pretty simple question. are the 88 TII's wheels clearcoated? the reason i'm asking is i will be trying to remove paint from a set of TII wheels and i'm trying to figure out my best option(s) and not damage the wheels themselves.

Man, I hope you aren't talking about stripping the 10AE wheels, cuz I'd be pretty bummed about that.

no, i'm not stripping them. i'm picking up an 88 TII this weekend and the wheels had been painted.

mazdadude7, what are you looking to get out of the wheels?

 

i'd like to remove the paint and if the wheels are in fact clearcoated from the factory, save the clearcoat underneath.
