TII vs NA Exhaust

i know TIIs and NAs exhausts can be switched out at least from the cat back, but i was wondering if they could be switched out any farther up? and if so, how far up? like, main cat, pre cat, downpipe area? just wondering

See the main difference between the TII exhaust and the N/A exhaust is that the N/A comes stright off the engine from headers or a manifold, and the TII exhaust comes from a flange mounted on the back of the turbo. the downpipes for the TII and the N/A are different (i think), but as far as cats are concerned i think perhaps they could be switched. but i don't see why you'd really want to do that. i'd rather go with a new setup myself to maximize your car's exhaust lifespan (new vs. used.)

hope this helped a little bit man,
Matt

that's my preference too, but bascially, i don't have much of an exhaust at all...... just need something to keep the cops eyes wandering elsewhere

thanks for the info my old exhaust is welded onto the cat.... great, so my plan is to get the cat with it. i hate how new stuff costs money D: i want to spend every penny i get, but at the same time i don't want to spend anything ever at all

The stock NA Y-pipes & mufflers are slightly smaller than the turbo's.
