TII trouble starting
TII trouble starting
When i try and start my '89 TII it usually takes a few times and the clutch has to be pushed down as far as it will go. When I first turn the key it doesnt even turn over or anything, however, all of the lights are on. It will sometime start on the second try and other times it takes a little longer. What is te cause of this and how can it be fixed?
thanks a lot,
Ira

it needs to be pushed down all the way because there is a switch.
maybe when it doesn't start you are not pushing far enough. then the 2nd time you are farther. I do that sometimes.

make sure you are pushing the clutch ALL the way down. Also slow starting, or more crancking than normal sometimes is a cause of the starter not spinning fast enough, or the battery not giving enough juice on start up.
