Is the TII tranny gear better than the GXL tranny and will it bolt on without any problems?

Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but the '87 GXL has the same tranny as the TII, and all the 2nd gen. s4 trannys are swapable, not sure about s5 though.

NOPE the t2 tranny is totally different
you can swap trannys in the same series
the swap is a complete drivetrain swap not just tranny so use your noodle and think what you need or just use the search button

Nope the TII has a different tranny than a GXL. The swap requires driveshaft modifications and well its not a bolt on. There are probably 40 threads on this. Search. So to answer your question yes there will be problems, though it can be done.
