im tryin to finish up my tII swap, but cant get it to fire. when i turn it over wot. it sputters a little but wont start. i tried atf and pop starting it but no success. it did warm up while tryin to pop start it. compression is 80-85-80 and 75-75-75. i have a new fuel pump on the way, but the n/a pump is in there now. would that keep it from firing? any ideas would help! thank you

 

could it be a bad ground??

only details can help answer a question.
have you done your basic troubleshooting?
spark at the plugs
fuel in the rail
did you get all the electrical hooked up? did you miss something?
I wouls say that for cranking it like you have it is flooded if you have fuel in the rails (if the injectors are working)
if you have fuel in the rails and dry plugs I would look at the injectors (wiring, ECU, or plugged)

my 2 cents but I aint no mechanic, just an electrician

 

are you on the throttle while starting it up? I thought that flooded the rx7's........

 

Check the basics.. Timing, spark, fuel. If these are good, start looking for a vacuum leak, unplugged afm, etc.

The N/A pump should fire a TII just fine. Your just missing something, recheck your work.

 

I have spark and fuel in the rails. not sure if injectors are firing yet, have to check that when i go home. thanks for the input guys

 

they are working. i have fuel, spark and compression and it wont start! what else could it be?
