TII swap question, yes searched

I've been searching but did not found a straight answer. Can I use a Turbo II driveshaft on the n/a rear end? Assuming i have TII engine and Trans. Will the rear u-joint bolt to the diff?

no, it wont bolt up but mazdatrix has this drive shaft for you to so this... here's the link and look at the set up you have. turbo trans with NA diff. that's the driveshaft you would want. good luck

Keep searching there is good info for this.
Example, you will break your rear end with too much HP
Good for a temp fix (just keep your foot out of it) untill you can get a T2 end

cheap way just drill the holes in the diff to mount the drive shaft.....it will last longer than the diff

You can use a automatic Fc driveshaft. Im running one in my car with no problems.

What about this.... na driveshaft with the T2 slip yoke (assuming I take it to a shop), since I got these parts just lying around.

no, find an automatic driveshaft. cheaper than taking it to driveshaft shop.

i think he drilled the holes in teh driveshaft if i recall

The turbo 2 driveshaft will not fit your open diff, nor will a open diffs puny driveshaft fit the t2 tranny. What we need to do, is modifly the t2 driveshaft to fit the open diff. itl become a universal driveshaft for any diff. Its easy, get a dremel or drill and cut the holes inwards. Like this, and check to see if it fits ur diffs stub shaft.
