TII rear-end
TII rear-end
I recently picked up a TII drivetrain. It included tranny, axles, LSD, sub-frame(?), rear-brakes. I wish I had a pic I could show but I'm at work.
It was on a TII that had been sitting in a feild for a bit so it is starting to rust. I'm thinking of taking it apart, cleaning off the rust, and then spraying it with a paint or something to protect it and keep it from rusting again. What else can I do with it off the car? I'm thinking I will rebuild the capilpers and replace the rotors. And paint the brake calipers while I'm at it. Anything else you can think of?
Also, there are two sets of wires that run to the rear of the calipers. What are they for?
Thanks,
Mason

Wires i think were to the ABS. Definetely clean her up and paint her. i Highly recommend using POR 15. www.por15store.com I've been using them on some projects, and it's awesome.
