Arrow tII question

i was wondering just how rare they really are, because i have been having the worst time trying to find one. i am looking for an 88 or 89, maybe even a 90 but the ones i do find seem to have blown engines and/or seem very over priced. no expert, but ive seen great rx-7s, turbo, go for under 2000. i had achance at one over a year ago, only 1800 awsome car, stock, but i had $0. my friend ended up getting it which the dumbass proceeded to run a stop with and hit a lady in a minivan, and later just royally screwing up the engine. but thats the only one i have seen in this area that was a good car, and im trying nearby states and everything, having 0 luck. ive been saving ever since that first one, and now im finally to where i could possibly get one, however even if i had more money i dont know if i would pay some of the prices i have seen. so anyone know how many were ever sold in the US, or just how hard are they really to find, or possibly can anyone help me out?

A $2000 TII is 75% of the time a POS with a blown engine. $4k and up will usually get you a good one. You can get lucky if you hunt alot though. I found one with no title that needed some love but had an excellent engine/drivetrain for $1000. I had to travel 500 miles to get it. It now has a title and is lookin bad ***.

i hate u sir!

i got another question but i didnt want to start a seperate thread:
if i break down and decide to get an n/a...about how much does it cost, and also how hard is it to find, a good tII motor to put in. i assume its a faily simple thing, and bolts right in. is that about right? also the n/a motors compression seems a bit higher than i would want to turbo, but can that be done? just wondering here, i wouldnt be doing that. also any suggestons of what model would be best if i got an n/a? keep in mind i care nothing for luxuries, i would prefer no power window, a/c etc....not stereo much beyond factory. motor not important because that would be switched asap. and what might any n/a cost compared to a tII?
thanks for any help and suggestions.
