TII Project wont start

Tried to start up my 87 TII project today. It will be a track car only so I removed the heating and cooling units, removed unneeded wiring, relocated the battery, installed Home Depot TID, it has 3" exhaust from stock turbo back, and all emissions removed.

Went to start it up and it just cranked with no start a couple times. Then it cranked over but sounded like a lawnmower(almost a putt-putt sound) and only lasted a second or two. Now it will crank as stated before but there is a constant buzzer with the key on.

If anyone has had any similar experience, please feel free to chime in. I will try and have some video up soon.

Thanks,

Andrew

When I give it gas, it still does not stay running for long. Maybe four to five seconds. Dies slowly.

Constant buzzer will most likely be the Cooling system Level Sensor.
If the Car hasn't been run and warmed up(Virgin start up) then the cooling system needs to get the "feel" of what it has in it.It will be a lower level until the air is out of the system and pressurized.Topped off.
check for vacuum leaks, and also make surr that the AFM is plugged in.The car won't Stay running without it being plugged in.

+1 for the AFM. If it starts then dies it could very well be the AFM.

Well I checked the underhood grounds and everything seems fine. I will check the AFM and will also check compression just in case. The car will run but only if throttled and I hate to do that on a cold start so I haven't tried anymore.
