TII PLAN B??? Bear with me guys!

Ok, since I have so much invested in the GXL project, How does this sound. Park TII in the Barn. Finish Paint and engine install on the 86 GXL. Sell 86 GXL, Build up TII.

Now heres the hitch..What will the GXL bring:

Stats:

New Gunmetal Grey Paint (2001 Mousetang Color), Vert BBS rims wtih 80% Nitto 550's 225/50/15, Factory Glass Sunroof, NEW PINEAPPLE Engine, New Pineapple MIATA Gear Rebuilt Tranny, 4.3 LSD GTUs rearend, KYB AGX's, Eibach PROS, Rear Camber kit. TII Fuel Pump, RB Road Race Header, Custom Single Exhaust, 89 Bumpers and molding
Excellant interior. NO AC, Manual Steering, Cleaned and Flushed oil cooler, new radiator, all new hoses, cleaned and flowed injectors, new oil cooler lines.

TII has 93,000 niles, needs rebuild, low compression.
Has decent interior. Realtively straight body, Aluminum TII hood. Will repaint if kept.

If I part the GXL , parts that XFER over are:
Oil cooler and lines
KYB AGX's and Eibach Pros
Interior bits etc.

But everything else I will have to sart fresh on. Tranny, rearend, etc. Then I start into the endless list of TII mods.

With the GXL future mods include S-AFC and dyno tuning. TII mods are endless and $$$$$

Lots of options

Plus I want to get the REX back on the road. Tired of commuting in a 75 CHEBBY PIKEMUP.

What car are you getting my rocker panel off of?!?!?!

Well...do you make enough money/have the patience to build the TII??

If not, keep the GXL and sell (or give me) the TII. I'm sure you're ready to have a ReX to drive again, I know it drives me crazy just having my car sit for a weekend.

Good Luck with whatever decision you make man

No matter where you live, how much you do, or what experience you have, there is always a higher paying job than that:

Manual labour. Working my *** off for these past four months, I will have made about $25,000 dollars. With scholarships paying for school, that's a lot to invest into one motor. (they need a bigger smile on that guy...).

Just remember: Nothing is beneath you, you MUST work hard, you will get in great shape, and keep your car in mind as a goal.

Don't like the sound of this> get an education, or this is a career...

Do some good advertising for your NA and at least put it for sale. There may be someone out there that sees all the hard work you put into it and is willing to pay the price. There are a lot of young ricers out there, maybe not where you live, but where I live that see an RX-7 and immediately want to buy. Ask a price that you think is reasonable dont be afraid to ask for some $$$.

If you dont sell it right away, dont worry about it, just keep the for sale sign on it, someone will eventually buy, just whenever someone is interested, you gotta know how to be a salesman.

I would keep the TII, I used to have an 87 NA that I worked hard on and spent quite a few bucks on. I spent $1000 on car, $700 fixing it up, and finally sold it for $2800. I was not unhappy, at the same time I know I would have never paid that much for that car. But there are people out there that will.

Save the TII, the only reason I sold my beloved NA was because I found a guy wanting to sell his TII and basically he was one of those ppl who thought it had a 4cyl engine because 4 plugs. I took it off his hands with a fresh motor for a price that some people would shoot me if I told how much. The TII is worth it. Face it, the GXL will never be a TII. Period.

Good luck,
TRU

I dont think youll get what youve put into that GXL. To me it has a lot more character than the TII. Why not build both. Im trying to jugle a na and a TII myself. Its alot better, being able to modify one as the other is driven. Plus I can aim in 2 diffrent directions. Drift the NA, race the TII. Well good luck. Sounds kinda bad for the GXL.
