Question TII/NA Spring/shock question!

After an impact with a curb, I'm getting bearing noise from the front...hoping it's not the transmission, it's a speed related bearing noise.

So, I have the ability to grab bits from a '91 coupe for my '91 TII.

The question is:
Can I use (as a temporary solution) the springs/shocks from a NA on my TII?

I'm going to try and swap over EVERYTHING attached to the lower arm, hub, spindle and all. I'm thinking that the front strut may be damaged, the caster is out about half a degree and the camber can't be adjusted into spec on the current bits.

Can't see why strut/spring, lower control arm wouldn't work. May be a little soft if you only do one corner. Not sure about the ABS sensor/reader wheel, if you still have it on your car. If you've removed the abs, no problem.

My understanding is that the N/A springs are a little softer, but will work fine. I would suggest doing both fronts to try and keep you front end in sync though.

I dont know about the hub/spindle, but the springs/struts should be no problem. I used the springs from an '87 na on my '87 T2 struts with no problem. I actually started with the entire spring/strut from the na, but it was just too soft so I put the na springs on the T2 struts and that gave a good firm ride without the bone jarring roughness of the T2 springs, and I cant really say I gave up a whole lot in terms of handling, so it actually ended up being a really good combination. In your case I would do both wheels or all 4, not just one corner.

On the 91 (and all the other non AAS S5 coupes), the springs and the shocks are already the same on the turbo or the coupe.

Only the 'vert got different springs and shocks

I may just replace the rear setup while I'm at it then!

According to FSM-The TII front springs are diffrent from the N/A. (Shorter)
I'm in work, but if memory serves me, I believe one of the front springs on the TII is the same as one of the front springs on the convertible. Would need to check before I stake my life to it. Rears the same.

The series 5 have the same P/N for springs and shocks in both the turbo and the coupe in the Mitchell collision manuals
