Question TII Manifold Question

Hey Guys

I currently have a S5 TII that has a BNR Stage 1 Hybrid turbo. Runs pretty good up to about 6K then looses boost. I just picked up a T04B and need get the rest of the setup. Are the Stainless Steel manifolds on eBay respectable. Also there is a seller named Stone Mountain Racing that offers the same manifold with a 40 MM wastegate. Does anyone have any experience with these (Or should I just save my pennies for a decent HKS mani/wategate combo?)

Let me know................

Re: TII Manifold Question

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but i'm trying to find this out too. The wastegates seem very cheap for what they function as.

They are crap.
With the cast HKS units, it's not excuse NOT to get one of those if you don't have huge amounts of money.

I find most 40mm WG's a bit too small for big power 13B's.

Can you back that up at all? Do you know someone that has problems with them?

Being such a promoted item on ebay, someone must be able to comment on them. Yea there cheap, but does it do the trick????

I think you can do a search for "ebay manifold".
Yes, I seen one in person.
It's crap.
Thin wall SS with bad welds.
BTW, some of them are rebadged OBX.
You can do a web search on OBX products.

I'll concur with Ted, although from a different car perspective. I personally know some Honda owners who have tried it, and they all fell apart. Some worked for 12 months w/ some rewelding done. Some failed within a month, and was beyond repair...

Go to Honda-Tech.com and do a search there -- there has been many pictures of broken manifolds from Ebay posted on there.
