TII j spec in Conver anyone done this?

I'm thinkin about buying a 90 Conver and drop a TII engine in it, of course along with Tranny, diff, etc. Has anybody done this? And what year models are included in Series 4? and series 5??

s4 = 86.5-88 s5 = 89-92 (officially there was no 92's).

And yes it can be done and yes there are people on here who have done it.

S4 TII engine into S5 conver

ain't gonna be easy then. What else besides engine, tranny, half shaft, diff needs to be swapped?? ANybody who has done this who can give me an overview?

The fact that it's a convertible doesnt make it any different. HEre are some links for you to browse. Remember it is imperative that you not try to mix and match parts between series, as outlined above.
