TII Issue

To whom can help me,

I recently did a TII swap into to my 87 N/A. Other than a small oil leak off of the front pan, everything was great. After letting the car sit for about a month of not starting or driving it, I decided to take it out for a spin. Car started up fine, idled perfectly, but when I actually went to drive it I began to notice a problem. Under a light throttle load, the car would accelerate as normal, but under a heavy throttle load, the car seemed as thought it was dragging ***. It seemed like either the catalytic converter was severely clogged, or the ebrake was locked up. Through I know that neither of these conditions could possibly occur due to the fact that I do not have a cat on the car, and the ebrake cable was not bound because this issue did not occur when the engine was under a light load. I am not sure where to start in this situation as I am not used to the turbo engine and would appreciate any help in diagnosing this problem. Thank you.

Chris

could be any of a number of issues, start by checking the double throttle on the throttle body, it is the larger set of butterflies on the lower part of the throttle body, open the throttle and see if the spring is pushing them open properly or if they are sticking closed.

Thanks for the the thought, but I have the secondary butterfly plates removed on the throttle body. But both sets are opening on the tb.

Yup, no cats on the car. Any other possibilities anyone can come up with prior to me yanking the engine outta the car to make sure the apex seals and turbo are fine. Thanks.
