TII intake manifold on n/a
From what I've been reading this is a good upgrade for a 87 n/a. what I'm wondering is, is can I just bolt this on or is there heaving modding involved and if so can it be done at home and not in a shop. Also is there anything I need to change as far as electronics or timing with this upgrade. I am also putting in a Borla catback exhaust and the racing beat down pipe and pre silencer to replace the cats, will this upgrade also require me to change anything with the engine?

if you're looking for power on the NA, there are better upgrades that are a bit more cost efficient and take less time. Gains on a intake manifold change aren't significant enough when you consider the time you'll have to spend under the hood.

you can search, but the basic answer is no. the manifold is a 4 port, the n/a engine is a 6 port. so it would take some strange and necessary modding.
and for an n/a, its a header, not a downpipe.

Turbo manifold will bolt up. You need to fill the ressesions in the top of it with epoxy and port it to match the 6-port runners. You also need to use a turbo throttle cable. This mod is usually more worth while on ported rotaries, not sure how a stock port would respond to it. search nopistons.com and teamfc3s.com people who have turbocharged there NA's have doen the mod there, and there are threads with pics. I havnt heard of anyone outside of austraillia trying this on an NA though.

Hang in there. I'm in the process of doing that. I ain't a using no epoxy in my intake manifold. Using molten metal to fill the cavity. And I'm assuming the author of this thread is talking about putting a turbo on his Na????? I'm not sure of that though.
EDIT: Go to Area 51 of the FC3S site to see the cavities referred to.

I have TII manifolds on a 6 port. You can use an N/A throttle cable if you make a bracket. Very easy. And an NA intake elbow will work good, cuz the throttle body is udside down.
