TII hp stock and after mods?

I'm not sure, but doesn't the TII have 200hp stock?

Anyway, lets say I put every single bolt-on possible on a TII, how much hp do you think I'd hope to achive?

182/182 I believe for the series 4 turbo II (87-88) and 200/195 for the series 5 turbo II. As to the possible limit for power this would depend on a lot of things.

Here's what I'm planning on doing. I'll be buying the RX7 before August this year, which means I'll be looking all through May and putting serious effort in finding one all through June and July.

If I find a vert in great condition, I'll buy that and drop the TII engine with other various TII components in. It'll cost more, but the verts are more common. If I can find a TII, I'll buy that practically on the spot. As long as it's not rusting over and doesn't need a lot of things replaced I'll just fork over the cash. Chances of finding a rex with a newely rebuilt engine are slim to none. If I pull the engine out, I may be able to rebuild it at the school auto shop, but since the teachers not big on rotaries he'd have to ask for student help (which may or may not be availible). If they cant do it, I'll search and find a place to rebuild the engine (I don't really trust myself with something so valuable). Either way I can probably pull some strings and get the engine ported and polished at the auto shop at school. I'll also see if I can get the triangles from the FD block put into the TII engine.

How much would it cost to have an engine rebuilt proffesionally? $2k? $4k?

they are stock blocks with all the 'bolt ons' and 'wire ins' you need

I don't know if this helps, but I pulled 307ps on the dyno out of mine. Mods as follows:

- open intake
- 80mm exhaust from turbine to 110mm muffler - no cat
- tuned computer to open the injectors and get rid of speed cut
- air pump, A/C pump, and P/S pump all gone
- Boost up to 1.0 Kilo
- Splitfire 8mm wires
- New NGK plugs and Mobil 1 oil

Note: the exhaust, computer, and wires are really the only aftermarket "mods". However, the motor still had the stock intercooler and all the emissions crap bolted onto the intake and other emissions spaghetti sitting on the motor itself.

I was very impressed at an over 100ps gain by just opening the thing up and let it breath.

I don't consider a turbine a "bolt-on". Yes, it does "bolt on", but buy yourself a nice big hairdryer and just bolt it on and see what you get. I define a "bolt-on" as a product that has stand-alone performance benefits: just "bolt-on" and you're done. A turbine, big injectors, any type of piggy-back computer, etc... require tuning to get the maximum performance out of (i.e., not bolt-on).

Just my 2 cents...
