TII hood packing?

How do I go about shipping a TII hood...what should I use to package the hood so it could be shipped safely?
Does anyone know approximately what the cost to do so will be--from lets say CA to LA?

I would think you need to build a crate and have tons of fomr to support/cussion it in all the right places.
A trip to Home Depot is in order.

3/8" Plywood with an 1"x4" exterior skeleton. Use I/2" foam sheeting as packing. Frieght class will be 250. Shipping Terminal to Terminal will be ~ 125-150
