TII hesitates and wierd boost readings

I bought the car 5.januar 2010. used a few days to get it home and everything worked perfect. Then i drove for about an hour to visit a friend, after maby 30 visiting him i headed home, after the engine got to it's usual operating temperatur i pulled it to maby 5-6000rpm a couple of times. Then the engine started to hesitate when i would try to accelerate, so i had to keep it under boost to be able to get it working normally.

When i got home i changed the plugs, and also found that the exhaust seemed to have been pulled out of the turbo, the springs where realy weak and i replaced them with something a little stronger(until i can find a better solution), i still have some problems exhaust leak tho.

I looked for loose vacuum hoses but haven't found any yet, except for this tube wich i can't seem to find a match for or where it goes?!

The boost gauge shows between -1 and -0,5 on idle and moves a bit around when i give it som throttle but it rarely moves up to 0. The wierd thing is that sometimes it does go above 0bar and everything works like it should but only for a little while and then it starts to hesitate again.

So any ideas on what it could be? And where/what i should look for?

Yeah that exhaust and that turbo don't match. There should be bolts holding the downpipe to the turbo not some crazy spring and chain job.

Holy jury-rigged exhaust, Batman. That thing should be bolted to the turbine housing or have a v-band clamping it down. Fix the exhaust, then see if your hesitation problem goes away. With the way that thing is, exhaust backpressure is changing wildly.

I just bought the car and it only had the springs connecting the exhaust to the turbo, thought it looked kind of wierd but it worked fine for a while atleast. So you think i get it bolted to the turbo, how would i accomplish that, weld mounts to the turbo? cause there are none now. Always fun fixing the bad work of previous owners

From what I've seen, a flange gets welded on or pressed into the turbine housing for use with a v-band clamp. Here's a random hit on a search that shows it: http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release091206.htm.
