We're supposed to be running at around 25-40% temp right? I've been running at 50% so I'm replacing hoses, and getting a new radiator. Going to go with a Koyo.

My S5 runs around 20% of the guage tops. But S5's normally run ~50% guage.

The S5 changes gave more cooling system headroom then the S4's had.

I ran for a month last year with a bad pressure cap before I caught it.

i got the oem metal replacemet from mazdatrix. The upper endtank exploded on my stock rad and nearly killed me. The plastic is dangerious and should never have been used. The copper/brass seems to work very well.

Koyo.
Mad Bling up in the HEEZY YO!
It is a little thicker than stock but looks hella nice. I haven't put it in the car though.

I paid around $350 for it shipped from Rx7 Store.

I don't know about cost, i never really priced the others. But performance wise it's fantastic.

I run one of Summit Racing's Howe radiatos. It is $199, and I have the 23X19X2.5 core (I think?). It works well, but required me to make my own bracket across the top for mounting (mounting holes are on the top).

I have a custom / universal. Its 24" X 19" X 3". It is a 2 row (1" tubes) double pass, all aluminum 16 per inch fin count unit. Under $250, but I still need to weld sensor bungs and a heater core supply line.
