TII exhaust system on an NA

Ok...

To start off I picked up this cheap used racing beat exhaust Turbo on the recycler...I already have the REV turbo exhaust on my TII because I dont care about emissions on that car. My exhaust on my 86 NA is shot..that thing has rust everywhere on those pipes down there. Anywho I bought the RB turbo catback for 300 on the recycler because I thought I could sale it to a friend but that isnt happening. I was wonder....how much louder is a turbo setup on an NA...is it annoying loud or what. How much difference in dB is it? I want to know because I dont want to break the bolts, try it, not like it, and then have a single point exhaust under my fuel tank haha.

I've used an NA catback on my TII and had no fitting issues. As far as sound I don't think it will be loud......burly and deep but not not N1 style loud. Nice find...........I'm trying to get rid of my old 52mm HKS catback or the Apex N1 duals so I can get the RB catback. Good luck.

The mufflers are different also. The turbo muffler inlet pipes are welded to the outside of the flange, while the N/A muffler pipes are welded to the inside of the flange. The internal baffles are different on a turbo resulting in slightly increased sound levels if used on a N/A.

"slightly increased sound levels "

Yeah, if your compare while wearing shooting range ear plugs. Especially under full throttle.
