TII Electrical? Help!!!

My 87TII was taken out the other day for a weekly/bi-weekly dust off. This is what happened. The car drove fine for 5minutes and then just died. I pull the EGI fuse, and do the unflood trick and it starts. I drive for 2 minutes and shut off at friends. Sits for a while and we go to store for gas and I want to show him how it runs, and after 5 minutes it dies again. Do the same EGI trick. Drive car for 1 minute and the car died for the 3rd time [never happened before] and never restarted. Towed to friends house and waited to next day and battery was low but still would not start. The car has a SAFC II and that is about all the electronics on it. Where do I start? Thanx in advance.

Next time it dies, look at the SAFC voltage readings and see if they are all still there.

Then look at the SAFC and see if the setup is still there i.e. the arrow up and to the right, 4cyl etc.

Or it could be a dieing fuel pump. Jumper the fuel pump check connector and listen for the pump. OR much better, put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel lines and see if it is up to specs so to speak. It would almost have to be reading ijn the low, low teens for the car not to keep running at idle. Should be approx twenty eight to thirty at idle and forty give or take at driving speed.

Or the alternator is going out and the battery is just to low to operate the ECU/fuel injectors.

Don't swao parts and make it a guessing game. Check things out before spending money.

Thanx Hailers. A technician who adjusted the SAFC told me before this happened, that I might have a loose connection at the computer. I know the SAFC is wired into the ECU, so I will check the connections there. I thought about the alternator, but I am pretty sure the volt gauge in dash is reading good when driving. My friend has a fuel gauge and I will check this out. This is what happened yesterday, after car sat for 2-3 days. Took another battery there and tools, got in just to see if it was completely dead, turned key and started. Let idle for 15 minutes and shut off. Waited a few minutes and did not start on first crank, just spun. Put accelerator to floor and started up. Drove home, about 5 minutes and just coughed once. So I am not sure at this point if it is electrical or fuel problem. My car is setup with 255 walbro, safc ii, fcd, I think 550 injectors, tb modded, rb 3-3.5 exhaust all the way back, rb boost controller[manual] stock turbo[want to upgrade] and new spark wires, and rebuilt motor[stock], all block off plates added, also want to put fmic, but definitely want to get the bugs out before more upgrades. I only have the car 3months. I put in eibach springs and tokico struts. Have stock rims and want to upgrade those as well. If you have any suggestions to improve car I would greatly appreciate them.
