This might sound stupid and yes I did a search. Can someone tell me where the ecu is located in an 87 TII and what it looks like?

under the passengers foot well.

remove the plastic running board, and kick panel cover,

Pull back the carpet.

Under the carpet, you'll see a metal panel that the passengers feet would rest against instead of resting against the fire wall. Behind that panel is the ECU.
