TII ECU from an 87 implanted into a 90 GXL with S5 Jspec??

I'd like to know if I purchased an ECU from an 87 TII and used it in a TII Conversion, would it work with a Series 5 motor. Or should i be looking for a 89-91 TII ECU... I'd really like to know, thanx

you could but the pinouts on the ecu are almost completly backwards between s4 and s5. it could work if you got the s4 ecu and harness but it will be best of you get all s5 stuff car, engine, and harness
