Tii Duty Solenoid buzzing incessantly

1990 vert with JDM Tii conversion, BNR Stage 1 turbo and HKS EVC for boost control with RTek 2

The duty solenoid isnt being used but buzzes incessantly. If we unplug it will the ECU freak out?

Thanks

I'd say no myself since it's a output signal FROM the ECU to the solenoid. I'd expect that Digital Tuning would say the same thing. You might ask them also.

Might cause a fault code but since you don't use it for controlling the turbo, it matters not that you'd get a code for it.

You're not talking about the solenoid for the EVC are you?

The ECU will be fine without the duty solenoid plugged in. As Hailers said, it's an output, and there's no sensor looking for its operation.

Ecu's monitor current of output wires, and throw codes all the time, so i wouldn't apply that logic to anything obd2+...

on ur FC, no it won't matter.

Looks like you've all come up with the correct answer, no problem.
I've had mine unplugged for years and no problem.

Cool. Thanks all.

I'd searched in the MBC and EBC threads but didnt see anything. Since the 370 ECU normally checks to see if the MOP/OMP is there as a failsafe, I didnt know if it might check for the presence of the boost solenoid. I can envision it doing a check for the presence of the solenoid if the boost exceeds the stock limits and throws you into limp mode! Surprise! LOL

Yes, I know this. As stated, not a valid point for an ECU from a 1980's car. Hell, they were doing well to have fuel injection.
