tii care and reliability
if your winter months will never go below around 40 for mineral & 25 for Synthetic, then 20w50 is fine.
personally I use either 15w50 Mobil1, 20w50 Royal Purple or Redline.
but sometimes if I see Mobil1 goes on sale I will go grab some 0w40. Its "true" Synthetic and gives you all year around protection

okay so here is my setup for my tii in order of priority. give me your opinions if you feel something should be done before or after another to organize it the best i can. im trying to upgrade as safely and as effective as possible. thanks
upgrades right now in this order:
1. suspsension/brakes/tires
2. complete tune up w/ injectors serviced
3. boost gauge (7 psi stock s4) + water temp gauge (180 degrees)
4. koyo radiator w/ distilled water + water wetter
upgrades coming soon in this order:
1. port s4 wastegate
2. wideband air/fuel gauge (to monitor everything for safety before upgrading exhaust)
3. racing beat rev2 complete exhaust system
4. 770cc primary + secondaries
5. Rtek 1.8 ecu
my question is should i upgrade the fuel system before freeing up the exhaust or its safe to free up the exhaust then upgrade the fuel? and also my boost sits between 6 psi and creeps to sometimes 8 psi. stock is 6.5 psi right?, and is 8psi still in a safe zone for a pretty stock rebuilt/SP motor (hence why i am porting the wastegate first since they are shitty)?? thanks everyone

RB says for the REV TII exhaust you need a fuel cut defensor or equivalent so you should might want to do your Rtek and injectors before the exhaust.. Though someone with experience instead of a quip from RB can tell you if the ported wastegate will take care of the creep problem..
i think after porting the s4 wastegate to help prevent boost creep, its prolly good to upgrade the injectors 720cc prim/sec and then get the rtek 1.8; after all thats when it would be safe to upgrade to the RB rev exhaust system. then you can get a wideband A/F gauge to monitor everything altogether. atleast that is my plans in order as of right now
I read that if the engine had been using normal motor oil most of it's life, and has a high KM, synthetic may scrub off the gunk off the seals, causing them to leak. It is also a problem on piston engines supposedly.

That is outdated information based on very old synthetics and while there is a bit of truth, it is mostly a myth.
