ive seen posts from time to time mentioning the tii's have aero packages other than the standard n/as....i dont see it, can someone point it out? thanks.

Anyone have a good picture of TII package vs. no package?

 

I can take some pics this weekend of my boys t2 with aero package. it has sides skirts, rear bumper and wing that complete the package. if I forget about this thread email me at eor122@***.net and I will make sure to get pics up.

 

1988 Turbo II has this package - it's basically the same pieces as the 1986-1987 NA Sport package without the little spoiler in the rear.

S5 TII had true sideskirts(went all the way down the side) and rear spoiler...the 88 aero package only had little pieces right before the rear fender well on the bottom...and the spoiler, and front lip spoiler

Ok, here's a pic. Notice the front lower lip and the slightly protruding side skirts. This is neofreak's car by the way. Hope he doesn't mind me posting, the car is gorgeous that I have to share.

i dont see a diff between the red and silver, except a spoiler, and the red's front end is SLIGHTLY lower.....above is a pic of my car, what does it havE?

 

Can't really tell from your pic. I don't understand. In the pic, the red one clearly shows the little black aero piece under the front bumper/fender. And theres another aero piece just in front of the rear wheels.

the mirrors are also different on the aero package. See the white car posted for reference.

 

nope thats not quite right. the white car is a series 5 they all had the same mirrors (in the us) and the s4's got mirrors by model, ie the t2 has different ones than an na, even though both can have the aero package

 

Don't forget the S4 aero package (found standard on the 86-87 Sport, the 88 GTU and the 88 T2) also came with a "ground effects" aluminum panel that went under the engine. P/N 56-11Y in the below picture:

icemark, you said 88Tii. what about my 87Tii? is there anything aero on it at all??

i had S5 mirrors, but i swaped them for the mirrors off my 86 luxury[wider, plus they look better IMO]

 

The 87 T2 didn't come with the aero kit from the factory.

But the S4 aero kit was a dealer installed option on the 87 models.

And it pretty much bolts onto any coupe. Heck I even added everything on the S4 aero kit (except the rear spoiler) to my 88 'vert.

And yes, I like the non-holed mirrors (when painted body color) on coupes as well.

 

damn, i want some aero kits like that for my base...damn i hate base...

 

my 88's aero package also has sections behind the front and rear wheels which I haven't noticed on the other pics...

 

those are accesory mudflaps

Those are dealer installed Mazda finish line mud flaps... not part of the aero package.
