Tie Rod Ends

Been trying to put together a tie rod end kit but finding that the m12x1.25 thread of the stock tie rods are nearly impossible to match. Been looking through steinjager.com and finding that If it werent for that odd thread pitch or the fact that is metric I would be good.

Mazdatrix rod ends arent priced well enough for me.

Can somebody help me out? Would using thread adapters be a viable idea.

Should I just give up and get OE replacements?

Abercrombie Motorsports makes some FC tie rod ends. I have no idea of their quality though.

I have the Mazdatrix ones.. They work well now, but required modification to work. I needed to get a m12x1.5 tap and tap them further to be able to set the toe properly.

I would not use thread adapters in such a critical area personally.

Abercrombie is out of stock.

Like all companies that make FC parts dealer. I doubt that they'll make more anytime soon. And I want new ends ASAP.

What exactly do you need them for?

I had my tie rods cut and threaded for 1/2-20 further down the tie rod.

I use a 1/2-20 swedge tube with a 1/2-20 rod end:

Plan to track the car. Might as well upgrade.

That sounds expensive when you dont have a shop with tools. Re-threading the rods.

What's wrong with using OEM good quality ones like Moog? Cheap at Rockauto.com

Keep it simple. Just saying.

getting "bump steer correcting" tie rods won't be an upgrade if you don't have the ability to set them up properly.

just get some normal replacement tie rods and call it a day.
